Free vs. paid listings

Every repository is either free or paid. The difference is what a visitor can access.

Free

• Anyone signed in can browse the full source with syntax highlighting and download it.
• Best for portfolio pieces, lead magnets and building reputation.

Paid

• The file tree and previews are public, so buyers see what they're getting.
• The actual file contents are locked until purchase — and this is enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the UI.
• Payment runs through escrow so the buyer is protected.

You can switch a listing between free and paid by editing it, and price it however you like.
